Amy O'Neill Houck is living in coastal Alaska where she has gained a new appreciation for wool's insulating properties. At this time of year she spends her five hours of daylight outside enjoying the spectacular surroundings, weather permitting, and has lots of dark days indoors to crochet, knit and cook up new recipes.
